The DPW will be flushing hydrants at various times over the next few weeks. That process will include main line valve turning in the northwest section of the City. Especially, in that area, rusty water can occur. This is caused by disturbing water mains, and even more so, by turning valves off/on. If rusty or discolored water occurs, please run the cold water until it clears. This maintenance is necessary for the water system to operate at a high level of service.
