Homeowner Grant Opportunity for Rehabilitation
Program funds will be used to undertake a project known as Lapeer County Housing Rehabilitation for the purpose of utilizing funding from the MSHDA CHILL Grant to rehabilitate at least 10 homes throughout the County’s housing stock. The goal is to improve the homes, helping to maintain the housing stock and benefit the participating homeowners with incomes at or below 80% of the area median income. Proud to be a Tree City USA Community
The Tree City USA program has been greening up cities and towns across America since 1976. It is a nationwide movement that provides the framework necessary for communities to manage and expand their public trees.
Imlay City is one of 3,400 communities that has made the commitment to becoming a Tree City USA. The City has achieved Tree City USA status by meeting four core standards of sound urban forestry management: Maintaining a tree board or department, having a community tree ordinance, spending at least $2 per capita on urban forestry and celebrating Arbor Day.
