| | | | | The City of Imlay City has one police station base. The Department of Public Safety consists of a police chief, dispatcher, one lieutenant, and seven police officers. Most officers are cross-trained to also serve as EMT ambulance attendants. The department has five radio equipped patrol cars, and nine walkie-talkie units. The department is dispatched by central dispatch through the Lapeer County E-91 1 system. lmlay City and the surrounding communities are provided Advanced Life Support ambulance service by Lapeer County EMS.
